Individual Therapy

Most of Dr. Margarida’s work, in hospitals, prisons and private practice has focused on individuals with histories of trauma, diagnosis of PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders, psychosomatic issues, relationship problems, and identity-related concerns.

Through an integrative approach that addresses emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects that manifest through physical symptoms, Dr. Margarida has worked closely with a number of individuals alongside other health professionals who understand the individual should not be labeled as a mental illness or as a group of symptoms, but rather treated as a whole.

In a corporate and clinical setting, Dr. Margarida works closely with individuals experiencing life transitions and relationship and/or work related issues. As the first contact point for many individuals, sessions begin with an introduction to psycho education, the meaning of well being and mental health, and increasingly grow into an organic therapeutic relationship.
